The Whales Make Their First Appearance!

As you may know, the Inn is a great place for whale watching on the Saratoga Passage.  Here's Kathy's first hand account of the first whale sighting of the season.

For all the ones who have inquired when the whales pass through, they are here! I had the pleasure of witnessing them after serving breakfast to our guests one morning. They came for a show right out front of the Inn! The guests quickly grabbed cameras from their rooms and it was a beautiful sight! Surrounding neighbors have been telling me they had been spotted passing through but I kept missing them. Thanks to our guests, I was finally able to see them. Kathy

A few months back, we were approached by the WEtv show 'The Locator' about using the Inn as the location of one of their reunions.  We happily obliged and here's a clip of the happy homecoming...enjoy!

Our First Blog!

Welcome to our inagural blog!  The Inn has gone through many changes this past year.  The new owners took over this past summer and added a wonderful Bistro, the only Waterfront dining on Camano Island!  Renovations were done to all of our guest rooms, and the upstairs is now open to guests as well!  This past October, we hosted a Harvest Festival.  Greg prepared a wonderful Prime Rib Buffet, and all of our guests had a wonderful time.  The Inn was also featured on a television show!  We can't quite talk about it yet, but there are definitely more details to come.  In the midst of the holiday season, we are busy preparing for the various holiday parties we have coming through, and for our own New Year's Eve Extravaganza!  We'll have live music, wine and of course, GREAT food.   We're really looking forward to ringing in 2010 at the Inn with our guests and community members who have supported us through our transition year.  We're also looking forward to February, which is sure to be a busy month.  This year, we are participating in The Great Northwest Glass Quest.  We think it sounds like fun and we're excited to be a part of it.  We're also looking forward to the 2010 Olympics in nearby Vancouver, BC.  So that's just a little of what's been happening at the Inn, we hope that if you're in the area, you'll come check us out.  We're always happy to give a tour, and you never know, maybe you'll end up winning a prize if you do!
